ANOTHER WAY
Keywords: freight , Libya , MABB

This one has to be short, but as a very quick update, it looks like we've found a way to avoid Libya! We've given up on getting visas for Libya, and instead are going to ship our bikes by plane from Tunis (where we are now) to Cairo, and continue our ride from there. It feels great to have a plan again.

Now if you'll excuse me, we each have a full tank of gas that we have to burn off before we can submit our bikes for shipping. Time to go see some of Tunisia! :-)

Parting shot...

You couldn't go ahead with Plan A which included Libya. Dang! We won't get to experience the uncommon sights & stories of that country via your lens & keyboard. Double dang! Meh, you missed nothing of that nation awash in green, the ruler's female bodyguards or his pictures all over the place. Yep, I've got a case of sour grapes.

You seem to have gotten out of Europe pretty quickly. How many hours on average do you ride every day? How long was the voyage on the Splendid? A splendid piece of nautical hardware indeed.

Think not twice about whining. Your MABB trip is from M to A = no ride in the park. Besides, friends aren't meant for smooth rides only, you know?

Go, get Ramses, Cleopatra & their pet cat, Sphinx!
