I do so much of it, and it's become such a big part of my life, that this site would feel incomplete without a page about swing dancing.
Here's a bit more information about the specific types of swing dance that I do, in addition to links to events I've attended, message boards I read, and friends of mine from the dance communities of which I've been fortunate enough to be a part.

Swing dance styles
Lindy Hop - "the grandfather of swing dance", started in Harlem in the 1920's.

Blues - "the dance that lurks in dark corners and knocks out other dances as they walk by, then goes through their pockets for loose moves" - Noëlle Gray

“A degenerated and demoralizing musical system is given a disgusting christening as 'swing' and turned loose to gnaw away the moral fiber of young people... Jam sessions, jitterbugs and cannibalistic rhythmic orgies are wooing our youth along the primrose path to Hell!” —the Archbishop of Dublique, 1938 ;-)
